It was a slightly disappointing day for me because I don't think I was focussed properly for the first two races after I heard something about the track but it can't be my excuse so it is lack of my experience on smaller tracks and my starts weren't that good for the 1st 2 races but my starts are improving slowly.  So in the 1st race I came last quite messily and in the 2nd race I came last again after I was 3rd but I was just not quick enough so the away rider got inside me and pushed me out on the 2nd bend.  In the 3rd race I made a good start but I was right inside where I didn't get much grip and the away team rider got past me going into the 1st bend so I only managed to stay 2nd.  In the 4th race I wasn't that happy because I didn't quite make a good enough start and went wide but then I was behind my team mate and he was having trouble with the track and was also on a tactical ride so I had to shut the throttle off to let him get away from me.

So I only managed to score 2 points from 4 rides but my starts are still improving slowly.

Then in the 2nd half meeting Middlesbrough wanted me to ride for them due to them being short of a rider.  And I was happy to help them to win and I had a better meeting which is a bit silly because I should have been able to help the Swindon Sprockets to win the meeting.  I scored 8 points from 3 rides.  In the first race I won and my time was only half a second off the time for heat 15 in the main match which I was quite pleased with and I seemed to be getting faster the more used to the small track I got.  In the 2nd race I didn't quite make the start and I was trying to pick up a win but unfortunately I couldn't find the grip to pass the other team's rider.  In the 3rd race I won again from a good start.
