I didn't have a good meeting which I'm very disappointed about because I was hoping to pick up good points for my last meeting. My best bike (number 1) had mechanical problems when I was leading in the 1st race - the bike slowed down towards the end and I dropped back to 3rd. It must have affected my head and my focus on my riding because I was very annoyed that my best bike had got a mechanical problem as I had just had a slight modification made on it and it felt great for 1 lap and I thought I had fixed the problems I had had at Newport. So I had to jump on my 2nd bike and I didn't pick up well on it because the engine was slightly down on speed and I didn't really get the right setup for the track. It was different to my best bike and the engine is one I normally use for Grasstrack racing plus the rain didn't help! So in my 2nd race and 3rd race I came last after riding out of shape due to the lack of grip and focus. In the 4th race I rode a bit better, after I changed the setup a lot, which helped my confidence to ride harder. But I still only finished 3rd.
So my results in the meeting were really down to my head. I know I should really get out there in the races and go for it and forget about my best bike and the rain but I am still learning!!!! I just wish I had had a chance to properly test the bike before the meeting but I haven't really got anywhere to test it. But no excuses - I just had a bad meeting.
