The day was a learning day for me because there were a lot of very good riders (including several international riders) at the meeting who I knew I wouldn't beat so I decided to use the day to get experience on my 500cc bike and try to get the set up better.

It was not too bad.  Maybe I could have done a bit better if I was more positive going out for the races.  There was heavy rain during the night before the race day and because I knew what the track was like when it was wet and I didn't used to like riding on the track as the wet makes it very grippy I was not very positive.  So therefore I wasn't feeling good on the first ride and I didn't make the start well but I went round quite well (better than last time I rode when the track was very grippy).  In the 2nd leg I felt a bit more positive and made a good start but I believe that I went a bit too wide and struggled to keep the power on because the corner was grippy and I am still learning how to cope with the grip.  Then the rain came down quite hard just before the 3rd leg and I almost decided not to ride but I thought if I went out I could learn more about riding a grippy track.  I made the start but because of the rain I was not positive again so I did not go into the corner hard but after two laps I realised that the track was not too bad for me and I went a bit faster and caught up the rider in front of me and was trying to pass him but the race finished - so if I was positive at the start maybe I could have done a lot better but who knows!!!!

There were a lot of riders who had gone home because of the track conditions so that meant I was not the only one who didn't like the track much!!!!!
