It was quite a good day for me.  My best pairs partner (Julian Phipps) had carb problems all day - which is a shame.  In the first race Julian made a good start and was trying to stay in front while I was at the back after a poor start and managed to climb to 2nd place and was slowly catching up the 1st place rider while my best pair had to retire because he thought the engine had failed but it turned out to be carb problems with the engine not getting the fuel it needed.  In the second race Julian again made a good start but then he had the carb problem again making him go slower while I also made a good start but I was right on the inside line and I didn't go wide enough before I got into the corner, therefore I was last but I managed to go past the riders to pick up 5th place before the laps ran out to let me overtake more riders.  And Julian managed to finish the race in a good 7th place.  In the 3rd race I had an unbelievable 2nd place for about 1-2 laps which I will never forget, during that time I was leading a good top rider all the time but then I picked up too much grip while I was going into the corner a bit too wide and it made me have a bit of trouble and drop back to 5th place but I was happy with the 1-2 laps of the race and again Julian continued with the carb problem and finished in 7th place.
