I would like to say thanks to James Foot who is a Weymouth farmer who gave me some sponsorship enabling me to buy a new engine which I have done.
I would also like to say thanks to Lee and Malcolm Smart for lending me one of Lee's engines since the Best Pairs meeting (8th June) which seems to go well for me.
So far I have only used the new sponsored engine a couple of times as when I first tried it at Boston on 1st July I felt it was not quick enough, although that night I also had carb problems so I wasn't sure, but it was confirmed when I used it at Isle of Wright match. Therefore it is being sorted out by my engine tuner at the moment and I am still using Lee's engine.

I had a successful practice yesterday at Weymouth. I'm impressed with the work they've done since the last time I was there and the track held up very well. I tested both bikes and found a carb problem on one bike and the diamond frame on the other bike snapped causing clutch drag but apart from that it's looking good.

I'm pleased that I have re-joined Weymouth Wildcats for the 2007 season. I'm really looking forward to riding for them and I feel that the small track will do me good and I will try to improve my average to at least 8-9, more if I can. The line-up is looking good so hopefully we could be looking at finishing at the top of the league. The full line-up is David Mason, Nathan Irwin, Lee Smart, Sam Hurst, Karl Mason, George Piper and Terry Day. More info is on www.wildcatsweymouth.co.uk
I'm looking for sponsors for 2007 to help me cover my speedway running costs so if you're interested in sponsoring me for the 2007 speedway season - any help small or big - I would be pleased to hear from you. The e-mail address is: sponsorship@nathanirwinracing.co.uk
Saturday 20th January
The good news is I'll be trying to make a return to Grass Track this season - as much as I can depending on what I get fixed up with in Speedway
I'm also pleased that Bassett Cleansing Services are to continue sponsoring me for the 2007 season
I'd like to thank my last year's sponsors (Brian Woodcock and Bassett Cleansing Services)
I'd also like to thank personally Martin Satchell, Brian Woodcock, Pat Nix, Mum, Dad and Nan and Pop for all their support
